Born in Jefferson, she was raised on her grandfather’s donation land claim.
She married Mack in 1930; he died in 1976. They had a dairy and worked her family’s farm. She moved to Salem in 1978.
She enjoyed painting coastal scenes and knitting.
Survivors include her son, Ellis of Jefferson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors. Private interment will be in Belcrest Memorial Park.
