"Josephine M. Zawaczki, 71, formerly of 43 Endicott St., died Wednesday, Aug. 21, in Greenery Extended Care Center after an illness.

She leaves three sisters, her caregivers Jennie B. Ermanski and Alfreda M. Zawicki, both of Worcester, and Wanda S. Plotczyk of Worcester; nieces and nephews. A brother, Joseph Zawacki, and two sisters, Irene O'Toole and Statia Geneva, all of Worcester, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Walter B. and Mary T. (Kowalski) Zawaczki.

Ms. Zawaczki was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour is 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, in the funeral home. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church Memorial Fund, 34 Ward St., Worcester, MA 01610."
