John Lott was born in Germany. He married his first cousin Anna Mary Lott. In the mid 1800's John and Anna Mary came to America. They settled in Delhi Township, Ingham County, Michigan where two brothers were already living. John's mother Margaret came also. They are in the 1870 census records. Margaret died in 1876 and was buried in Pioneer Cemetery. Most of the rest of the family is buried in Maple Ridge Cemetery.
