Ruth Mixson Lemacks Frampton, of Walterboro, entered into her eternal rest on the morning of January 8, 2013, in Charleston. She was twice married, first to the late James Earl Lemacks who died in 1994, and was secondly married to Herbert Washington Frampton in 2001.

Born July 26, 1931, a native of Hampton County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Wyman Mixson and the late Alma Ulmer Mixson.

Ruth resided in Hampton County before making Colleton County her home for the past sixty-two years.

She was a Charter member of Academy Road Baptist Church in Walterboro where she was active in many aspects of the church's work. At her church, she had worked in the Children's nursery and was a member of the Choir and Women's Missionary Union. For many years, she conducted the song services at Oakwood Nursing Center in Walterboro.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Herbert are: a daughter, Donna Sumner and husband Tim; three sons, Gerald Lemacks and wife Debbie, Wendell Lemacks and wife Charlene, all of Walterboro, and JaDon Lemacks and Samantha of Yemassee; and four sisters, her twin – Betty Heape of Cummings, Rita Bridges of Hampton, Margaret Mixson of Hampton, and Annie Lou Mixson of Sheldon; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Lemacks and wife Cathy, Katrina Drew and husband Jesse, Jarred Sumner and wife Heather, Eric Sumner and wife Erin, Bryan Lemacks and wife Emily, Ryan "Gator" Lemacks and Victoria, Nikki Varnadoe and husband D.J., and Dustin Lemacks and Megan; and nine great grandchildren as well as her faithful caregiver, Margie Lincoln that also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock, January 11, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Churchyard, Walterboro.
