Mr. George Brewer, III, of Atlanta died Tuesday at the Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. Brewer, a native of LaGrange and the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. George Dewey (Virginia Drake) Brewer, Jr., was born March 11, 1943.
At an early age, he joined the Welcome Baptist Church. He was a former employee of the Atlanta Constitution.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, DeMarcus Brewer, and one daughter, Tracey Reins, both of Atlanta; 9 siblings, Thenola Brewer, Willie Brewer and Ruby Brewer, Barbara White, Leon Brewer, Charles Brewer, and Gary Brewer, all of LaGrange, Annie Kelley of Brooklyn, N.Y., Nathan Brewer of Atlanta; brother-in-law, George Kelley of Brooklyn and Eddie White of Texas and James Gholston.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Tina Brewer and a son, Tyrone Brewer.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the New Beginning Baptist Church at 506 Ware St. Rev. William Harris will officiate. Burial will be in the Southview Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his sister, Ruby Brewer, at 609 Jenkins St.
