Mr. Thomas (Check) Smith, age 83, of Stockbridge, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012. He retired from the city of Atlanta in 1991 where he served as the Superintendent of Hartsfield International Airport or better known as "Mr. Airport". He is survived by his loving wife; Shirley Rose Barry Smith, children; Reba Terrell, John Smith, Tina Miller, brother; Roy Smith, sisters; Rachael Atwood, Becky Pace, grandchildren; Sonya Terrell, Zachariah and Amy Terrell, Cynthia Randall, Samantha Smith, Kyle Smith, many nieces and nephews.
