Andrew Ter Waarbeek, son of John and Anna (Bakker) Ter Waarbeek, enlisted in the US Army during World War II on 25 Feb 1943. He was a member of the 294th Engineer Combat Battalion, Company C. He was one of 29 soldiers killed in a tragic explosion during a mine laying training exercise on the grounds of the Digby estate in Sherborne, Dorset, England.
