World War II Veteran. He entered the service October 24, 1942. Received basic training at Maxwell Field, Montgomery, Alabama. Assigned to the 366th Fighter Squadron, Ninth Air Force as P-47 Fighter Pilot. Took part in the invasion over Normandy and various other assignments numbering over 100 missions.

He was killed in action near Coutances, France on July 27, 1944.
