Section 6, Township 38 North, Range 12 West
Miller County, MO.
Brown, W. T. (Civil War - Veteran)
no dates
Co. K 8th MO. Calvary - Civil War
From junctions 42 & 17 in Iberia, take Hwy 17 south and go 1.6 miles and turn left onto Charcoal Kiln Road. Continue on this road for another 1.4 miles. At this point the road turns to the right, but before that you will find two large gates and the stones are to the right of these gates. It is easily seen from the road, only a single cedar tree remains. At one time the tombstone had concrete blocks around it - it is on private property.
This lone civil war stone is located inside these blocks. This road says dead-end, but it continues on around.
This cemetery is no longer in use.
Personally inventoried by Dianna (Hale) Mattingly, Glenda (May) Crawford & Vera (Clark) Strutton
1 May 2001
Re-inventoried March 7, 2016 for pictures - Dianna Hale Mattingly - the concrete blocks are all knocked down (by cattle) and the headstone is completely gone.
