This family burial ground is within Carolina Trace. You will find it in the woods near the Hidden Lake subdivision. The graveyard is accessible from the emergency road that is near Hidden Lake. If you enter at the locked gate to this road and walk to where it curves towards Cox Mill Road, the graves are in the woods on the right, up a slight hill between the road and a large white house that fronts Cox Mill. The graveyard is not on that property and the owners are not "family" according to the owner. She said that no one seems to "tend" to the cemetery anymore.
I tried to find this cemetery this summer-it was very hard to even see. I did see several of the graves;however, the growth was so thick that I could not enter it. Upon the arrival of winter and loss of brush, I was able to enter and photograph 9 graves.
