This is my great aunt's, Naomi Newton Keaton, description of burial site when she transcribed headstones in the 1950's. This is from her notes. I have found a description in the Anderson Cemetery Books which is similar but adds that it is just past the Hard Shell Baptist Church site. DESCRIPTON: On the Lockaby farm, this burial site is located on the banks of the Six & Twenty Creek. It is neglected & very badly overgrown. My brother & I cleared the site and found two beautifully carved marble headstones surrounded by a beautiful wrought iron fence that did not have a gate. I transcribed headstones.
