He was united in marriage to Annie Hanson on August 11, 1917 in Milford. This union was blessed with a son, Dale, and a daughter, Loraine. William and Annie farmed in Buena Vista county until retiring in 1969 to Alta.
Mr. Espe was preceded in death by his parents, a son, and a brother.
Surviving him are his wife, Annie; daughter, Loraine Raveling of Spencer, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Erna Pederson and Mrs. Alice Jimmerson, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ada Espe, all of Alta, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm on March 9 from the Jones funeral chapel with Rev. Clarence Beard officiating. Interment was in WOodlawn cemetery in Alta.
