George W. Silfies, employee of the Retsof Mine of the International Salt Company for 21 years and a veteran of World War I, died in Retsof, Tuesday, November 29.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Rosalind Stone of Batavia and Mrs. Ethel Krauss of Perry; three sons, George A. of Greigsville, Richard with the U.S. Air Force in Japan and Ronald of Perry; four sisters, Mrs. Maude Robinson of Cuba, Mrs. Dorothy Spark of Belmont, Mrs. Florence Pratt of Girard, P.a. and Mrs. Hazel Anderson of Portville; three brothers, Joseph of Limestone, Clinton of Clermont, Pa., and Clarence of Erie, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service was conducted in the Findlay Funeral Home, Geneseo, at 10 o'clock Friday morning by Rev. Harland West of Geneseo Methodist Church. Interment was in Clermont, Pa., Friday afternoon.
