A tombstone was erected in Blair Valley Cemetery in 2015 to markthe actual burial place of Hamilton B. McClanahan by this descendant who removed the original broken stone for repair. The "behavior" of placing the repaired stone in Wright County, Mo. was to place it beside the Civil War tombstone of his son James Woods McClanahan. It is a fitting memorial because Wright County was Hamilton's home, along with all of his fmaily, before his move, and very short stay in Texas. Sibyl McClanahan Baker, a great-great granddaughter.
