Frederick C (Fred) Gisewhite 82 died Wednesday April 27, 1988 at Meadville Medical Center following an illness of two years. He was born in Bellefonte, Pa. August 1, 1905, a son of John B and Catherine Amanda (Grove) Gisewhite. He married Harriet Virginia Veith, April 18, 1928. She preceded him in death May 13, 1976.He retired as a foreman from the former American Viscose Co, where he worked for more than 40 years. He was a member of Meadville Elks Lodge 219.Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Floanne)Peterson, Meadville; Mrs. Larry (Jill)Perrotto, West Frankfort, Illinois; a son Frederick Gisewhite (Helen), Akron Ohio; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Mrs. Harold (Kathryn) Orr and a brother, Jack Gisewhite.Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
