Mr. Mock passed away at The Hospice of the Golden Isles on December 30,2008. He was born in Waycross Georgia to Joseph Arthur Mock and Kate Mae Gardener on November 20,1916. He is survived by his three sons, Malcolm Mock Jr., Michael Mock and Rex Mock. He was preceded in death by brothers Joseph Arthur Mock, Edgar Raymond Mock and Walter Gordon Mock.Mr. Mock was a prominent member of the business community beginning in the early 1940s along with his brothers as owner-operators of The Mock Brothers Supermarkets. Martha "Mattie" Estelle Stubbs, stepmother, was named "Mother of the Year" in Brunswick during that time period. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 4th at The Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick. The service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday January 5th. Interment will in Palmetto Cemetery.
