Alphreda Mildred Adams married Harry Edmund Slawson. Her parents were Charles Christopher Adams and Kitty Pew. Her father was a school teacher and Mildred began to teach school at age 16. She later became a telephone operator in Santa Ana, California. She lived on Roe Drive, right down from Webber's Bakery, I think that was the name. I associate visits to the little house on Roe Drive with the smell of baking bread.
