Barbee-Rowles Familes of Ohio

"Jesse and William [ROWLES] came to Ohio in 1803. William lived a few years with Jesse; then returned to Maryland and married Sarah Chamberlain. He returned to Ohio and lived until 1838 in Franklin County, when he moved to Missouri, where he died in October, 1854. His son, Reuben, lives in Missouri and John in California. His daughters, Mary, Ann [or possibly Mary Ann], and Eliza, married brothers, named Barbee of Grove City, O. Of this family was ex-Sheriff [William H. - of Franklin County] Barbee, who married Joseph Leib's daughter. "
