Bio

I was born and raised in Dobson, Surry County, North Carolina. I am the son of Dewey and Frances White Hodges. I spent much of my childhood with my paternal grandparents, Lonzie Vance Hodges and Minnie Edna Bennett Hodges, who lived in the family homestead. It was the home Bartholomew built in 1805 when he moved from Cumberland County, Virginia. It was in the family for 250 years.

I enlisted in the Air Force after high school and served our great nation 30 years. I continue to serve as a civilian in the Air Force at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. To this day, I still miss waking up in the shadows of those gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains.

I am trying to rebuild our family tree. That venture has taken me to Thomas "Sonora" Hodges b: 1683 in Hadlow, Tonbridge and Malling Borough, Kent, England. It appears he came to early Colonial America as an Indentured Servant.
