I am a North Georgia resident, and I can trace both sides of my family back for at least five generations in North Georgia (SC/NC,PA, Germany, France, Scotland, & Holland before that). I got my love of genealogy from my mother and the knowledge that despite big families, there were unknowns on both sides, and this website had been a great tool to help fill in blanks. I have worked at WWYZ am radio (Jasper) & WLAQ am radio (Rome). I attended Shorter College in Rome, GA. I have graduate degrees from University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa& Lincoln Memorial University. I taught literature, composition,& theater at Sequoyah HS in Cherokee County GA for30 years. I was in the Charter Faculty when the school opened & retired from there in 2020. I married for the first time in 2018 and now have a loving wife & son. I am an active member of Salem Baptist Church in Jasper, GA.
