Hello. I use Find-a-Grave (FG) and FamilySearch (FS) to inform each other, consider data on gravestone photos a usually reliable source, and only submit well sourced data to FG, usually by sources available in FS, even though additional unsourced data is often available.
____________

Although some relatives might want "uncomfortable facts" to be hidden, I'm guided by comments from a person with such facts about her own history, who wrote "I think leaving bread crumbs so others can find their way is always helpful. There are plenty of errors as well as deliberate coverups in many [sources]. ... relatives are searching for the truth and you are giving it to them. It's a gift."
____________

Thanks to all the FG volunteers who improve the content of Find-a-Grave with data, relational links, photos, transcriptions, etc.
____________

Memorials in Virtual Cemeteries beginning with "FamGrp" (with many more such VCs to be added) are available for transfer without restriction to a relative, except will be transferred along with all "related memorials" in the "FamGrp". ("Related memorials" often include some not linked together because I have not found burial data for a connecting person's memorial.) Most of the "FamGrp" memorials were created from data records, and are "information rich" with relational links and synopses (but few have grave marker photos). Thanks to Photo Volunteers who greatly enhance the memorials with grave marker photos.
