I am from Hamilton, OH and have a large number of family members from the area, primarily on my mother's side. Some of the core family names are Cummins, Bender, Clyne, Heiser, Schmitt, Rusk, Freeman etc. My grandfather, George Cummins, already had performed extensive genealogical research long before the internet sprang up. He was a well known local historian who supplied the Remember When photo in the Journal for many years and for whom the history room at the Lane Library is named. Although I just joined FAG in 2022, I had been lurking on and off for a number of years. Retirement has freed me up to become more involved. I appreciate all the work the early adopters have done and I will do my best to help others.
