I have enjoyed tracing my family roots. Unfortunately those that could answer questions have passed. I like finding information on Find a Grave pages that sometimes help guide me. My greatx4 grandparents (Stephen Jefferson & Elizabeth Huff Stanley) were one of the Lorenzo deZavala colonists that came to Texas in 1828 and settled the current town of Zavalla, TX. And my greatx5 grandfather (Nathaniel Lynch) was one of Stephen F Austin's Old 300 Colonist that settled along the San Jacinto river. He founded the town of Lynch (Lynchburg) and established the Lynchburg Ferry that played a big roll in the Battle of San Jacinto.
