I was born to my unwed Mother (Mary Ellen Loseau).
Was raised by my Maternal Grandparents; Elnora and Edward loseau, then was put into The Cedar rapids Children's Home in Iowa( home for the friendless) at age 11.
In 1963 James and Edna Spencer adopted me.
The Spencers had also adopted as a baby, Christina Viola Smith daughter of Edna Mae Loseau-Smith and Junior Smith. Edna was remarrying and did not want to raise Christina due to her new husband not wanting her.
Since my birth Mother was Mary Ellen Loseau( sister of Edna Mae Loseau).that made me a biological cousin to Christina and I became her adopted sister.
Mom and Dad Spencer renamed Christina Viola "Catherine Marlene Spencer" at adoption.
Mom and Dad Spencer were the best of parents to me when no one else wanted me. God Bless them always.
