My maiden name is Stanepher. I am 64 years old, my brother Jack Jr. is 67. My parents were Jack Norman and Joyce Louise (Duey) Stanepher from Blue Island IL . Dad retired from the B.I. Fire Dept. in 1985 and moved to LeRoy IL. Dad passed in 2003 at the age of 69. Mom passed in 2018 at the age of 82. They are buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in LeRoy IL. Dad's parents were James Willis Stanepher and Ruth Victoria Marie (Nelson) Stanepher. Grandpa grew up in Waynesville IL and moved to Harvey IL when he was a young man. My grandmother was Swedish. My uncles were Charles and Thomas Stanepher, also of Harvey IL. Both are deceased, Charles passed in Chicago IL and Tom in Harvey IL, both Cook County. I would appreciate any stories / info about the Stanepher family from IL, especially those born in the 1800-early 1900 era. From what I've read the Stanepher family orginated in England/Wales.
