Born and raised in Bulloch County, Georgia and lived short time in Savannah. Served in U.S Marine reserves. Enlisted in U.S. Army and served with 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY for 6 1/2 years. Met and married my wife Lillie "Kate" Chandler in Clarksville, Tennessee. Served 1 year in Vietnam with 173rd Airborne Brigade, Then served with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. After leaving service moved to Louisville, KY for 6 years then to moved Elizabeth, IN where I reside now. I worked 30 years for Rohm and Haas KY INC, as a chemical process operator and retired in 1998. Kate and I had five children, 4 girls and one boy. We have 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. My wife Kate passed in 2019. I enjoy gardening, fishing, and tinkering with things.
