Bio

I grew up in Bisbee , Arizona and finally settled in Tucson. What started as a project in 2019 to maintain three of my grandparents' graves at Evergreen Cemetery in Bisbee has grown to 22 graves of 29 relatives at Evergreen as well as Cochise and McNeal cemeteries including my stepmother, brother, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, great aunts and great uncles. Because the only thing green at the cemetery are weeds and clumps of grass, each grave that I maintain (except for three which one was covered with concrete and the other two with rock) has been stripped of any vegetation down to bare earth. Twice a year (spring and fall), all the graves are treated with a herbicide to prevent any growth. The grave covered in concrete required some reconstruction. It takes a approximately four days to maintain them all … but it is a labor of love. It is really sad to see other graves that are in terrible condition … but I understand that there may be no one left to maintain them, there is no perpetual care available and the cities where they are located are not responsible for any maintenance of the graves. Bisbee does cut the high grass and weeds using weed wackers but does not clean up the trimmings.

I also enjoy fulfilling grave photo requests … some which are difficult to find due to incomplete burial records.
