Hello & welcome! I'm Alexis! I'm currently a full-time college student and part-time amateur genealogist from Michigan. As you can see, my "stats," or numbers of memorials created/managed/etc. aren't very high. This is because I am mainly focused on researching my family right now and I take pride in taking my time and ensuring that my research is accurate. However, I'm more than happy to help others out in any way that I can!

A little bit about me:
(for those who are curious as to why someone my age spends her time on genealogy sites, like Find a Grave, rather than at a college party...)
I have always been called an "old soul" by my family members, for when I was growing up I had little interest in most of the trendy toys, clothes, or music that other kids my age were into. Rather, I loved going to antique stores and rummaging through my grandparents' basement to find their vinyl records and knick-knacks. As I've gotten older, that interest turned to my family's heirlooms and old photographs. With those came the stories behind them. Out of curiosity, I started researching my family on sites like Ancestry and FamilySearch and I grew to realize the significance of the people to which these stories belonged. I began to learn the importance of restoring and preserving my ancestors' legacies, as well as preserving the stories of others who have passed on. I strongly believe that, even though they may not appear in history books, nor their portraits on the walls of museums, these folks were just as significant.

I take great pride in researching as much as I can about the memorials I manage, as well as adding on to (and correcting) existing memorials. So please, feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions, corrections, inquiries, or are related to any of my managed memorials!
