I served a total of 34 years in the U. S. Navy and U. S. Naval Reserve. U. S. Navy (1958-68). I left the Navy in 1968 as a TD1. I enlisted in the U. S. Naval Reserve in 1972 through the Advanced Paygrade Program as a Chief Data Processing Technician (DPC). I was commissioned in 1980 as a CWO2 and "deep selected" for promotion to CWO3. In 1983, I was commissioned as a LTJG and promoted to LT and LCDR. My officer designators were 7185 (ElecTech) and 6185 Limited Duty Officer (Surface Electronics).
