What started as a whim with a free trial to Ancestry in 2012 - after my grandfather's passing, I thought I would see if with modern technology, I could verify his own father's research and bold claims that the family "descended from Charlemagne" and other various famous ancestors - has since become an all consuming passion. I have verified these claims and gone quite a lot further with the tools available in the twenty first century than my great grandfather was able to do in the twentieth on his family line, as well as researching the other branches of my family tree as well.

In addition to spending my time working on a comprehensive tree of my own family, I hope to someday become a professionally certified genealogist - I would love to use the research skills that I've developed to help others find their ancestors.
