My mother Marjorie Jones, was the Volunteer Archivist for St Georges Church, New Mills, Derbyshire, England. Most of the information I have, comes from her few remaining notes. (All done before digitisation and is by no means the complete collection) The main body of her work being sent to Matlock DCC Head Office. The Burial books themselves are now viewable on Ancestry/Find my Past, but extra information within these notes is invaluable to genealogists such as myself. Some of her work is also held by New Mills Library, Including New Mills Local History.
Other local churches/graveyards were included, often aided by my father, Roy Jones.
Following their deaths, I don't feel able to just throw this information away, so i'm gradually working my way through it. Some of the info, is just basic detail. However, if you have more information to add, a grave photograph or a correction, please do.
