Bio

I'm originally from the hamlet of Wostok, Alberta, Canada. Resident of Lamont County, Alberta, Canada.

Started volunteering here as I started my own family history booklet and it just escalated from there !! I'm researching my families of Prokopchuk, Onyschuk, Small, Chichak, Horobec, Cholak, Trohymchuk, Chipiuk/Czopuk, Cebryk/ Zabrick, Kowalchuk, Dey, Baynham, Ropchan and Craddock so far. Also Babich family for a friend.

I enjoy connecting family memorials to the best of what I've researched and I love visiting the cemetery's and taking photos of monuments. I conduct research through many avenues: Ancestry, Alberta Genealogy Society, Alberta Provincial Archives of Alberta, Family, Archived newspaper articles and history textbooks.

I'm working on local cemeteries as time permits as well as the Fort Saskatchewan Cemetery and Jasper Cemetery (love Jasper!), along with a few other volunteers to get it completed.

Some of the monuments I've come across are quite amazing ! I create memorials of any departed so that their family or others can locate their place of rest.

I have even located relations through here via electronic conversations which brings much joy !

If you see a memorial you wish to manage, please suggest transfer as recommended by the site.

REMINDER for SURNAMES on memorials:
Input Last Name as you would find it on the tombstone. If the interred had MORE than one last name, they may be added to the last name field. Separate each last name with a space. Our Memorial Search will search all names in the last name field. If other possible spellings, place this information in the bio. Our Memorial Search can search for similar name spellings under more search options. Do not include honorary or other suffixes in the Last Name field.

I don't create memorials for people who have NOT departed.

If I've made an error please message me politely. I will not respond to rudeness or arrogance!

I appreciate everyone here for their contributions whether it's of info or of photos of the monument or of the dearly departed for their memorial.
