They came to America later 1800s. My spouse's families include Schwerkolt (father) and Postlethwaite (mother) and related families. John Postlethwaite came to America from England 1709-1713 and settled in Pennsylvania and was neighbors of German, Swiss, and other families who came during the 17th century. I also write memorials for peoples that appear forgotten that I knew from my past or find on Family Search. Whenever I can add information to give a fuller description of persons, I do so. A dear friend, Linda Wondaal Mashek, finds many obituaries for my lost souls. We hope our contributions prove of value to descendants during their family searches.
