I live in Brevard County Florida. Dad got a job at the space center in 1956 and we drove here in the '48 Olds all the way from Nashville, TN. I grew up on Cocoa Beach and must say that it was a wonderful place to be a kid in the 50's and 60's. Missile shots every week, sometime more than one. Astronaut parades down A1A through Cocoa Beach. Plenty of jobs even some for a kid.
