In July 2003, my children and I were hit my a drunk driver in TN, while returning to TX from visiting family in Indiana. My son, Tyler, was killed at the age of 12. The drunk driver and his passenger were also killed. My 10 year old daughter, Katie, was also injured, but not critically, thank The Lord! I was in critical condition and almost lost both of my legs! Currently, it is 04/29/2019, and I am still disabled. I still require periodic surgeries. The last one was Aug 2017. I’m an advocate for MADD and share our story whenever possible! Our hearts have never been the same. We have a huge hole where Tyler’s LOVE and LAUGHTER should be. PLEASE don’t drink and drive!
