Having grown up in the Western New York area, I can easily go to many of my ancestors burial locations. However, the farther I go back into the generations, I find they are buried throughout obscure areas of NY and PA. Having recently retired from a career in education, I find more time in my daily agenda to work on family genealogy.
I'm currently research the 147 NY infantry, along with the crew list of the USS Cincinnati, Christian Fiel, my 2x great uncle served in both of these units during the Civil War.
I live in Western NY, south of Buffalo.
I have 3 children, 7 grandchildren and a very cute dog.
