Bio

Thank you so very much to all the volunteers who have contributed to Find A Grave for all the valuable work that you do! Your efforts bring honor to the memory of those who have come before us and who are now at rest.

I was adopted as an infant, my birth name was Holmes. Through DNA matches my maternal biological connections include the DAVIS, HOLMES, TAYLOR, GROVES, WILSON, BARRY, BAPTIE, FERGUSON, ELLIOTT families from the Peterborough ON area. I am still searching for information and connections from my paternal biological family.
This website has aided me a great deal on my journey to discover my own roots. It is my hope that my contributions and the photos that I have taken may help someone else in the future.

~~~DEAR ANCESTOR ~~~
Your tombstone stands among the rest,
neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care;
it is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist;
you died, and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you,
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
so long ago
Spreads out among the ones you left,
who would have loved you so.
I wonder how you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
