I'm working on my family history and am trying to put the feelers out on a many genealogical sites as possible. My great great great grandparents Hamilton Peter Drake and Caroline Webb Drake, lived in both Amerit, Lyon County, MN and Fergus Falls, Otter Tail County, MN in 1880 and 1885 (for the rest of their lives) respectively. Hamilton and Caroline adopted a son in 1874/75 named William Whaling, later changing his name to George Drake, who was my great great grandfather. My family is trying to find out who William/George's birth parents where. It is thought that William/George was one of two twins, he was given up for adoption the other brother, presumably name Arthur remained with his birth parents. Hopefully someone out there can help with this long-standing family mystery.
