I have always been fascinated by cemeteries. Growing up, vacations were camping at state parks. We went camping Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, a week in August and a Labor day weekend, The state park we went to the most had an old church and cemetery and my siblings and I would walk to the cemetery and go through and read the tombstones.
Locating family members in area cemeteries became an interest in mine several years ago. Then I became aware of Find A Grave. I have been retired for 3 years now and recently started working on a family tree. Find A Grave has been a tremendous help in locating family grave sites. I hope to be able to visit more of the sites my family is buried in the coming years.
