Bio

I started doing family research after my Dad passed away in Oct 2018. I wish I would have asked more questions when my parents and grandparents were still alive.
I have a lot of respect for cemeteries and the people buried in them. I will spend time cleaning up trash, putting flowers back on graves that have blown off, or anything else I can do to help keep them respectable.
As I walk through I randomly look in find a grave to see who someone is and see who their family is. If they do not have a memorial on here I will create one. Most of my memorials are my family in some way or another. If you come across one of my memorials it won’t hurt for you to ask me to transfer them to you if you are closer in relation, but there are some I won’t give up.
Mount Zion Cemetery in Edwards County Illinois is near and dear to my heart. It’s the place where a lot of my family is buried and where I plan to be. I spend a lot of time researching there making sure everyone has information tagged to them. When I have time I search for their obituary or even a picture of them because my goal is to have that for 75% of the people there. I want them to be seen for who they were and not just a picture of their headstone.
