Hello, I'm looking for info on my Cherokee blood line .
In 1963-64 my GGrandma (Trixie May Grubb Scott) was involved in a lawsuit with the U.S. government in Muskogee, OK. over the land and money owed to our family At the same time the Cherokee Nations were involved in there own that she had to remove herself from so she could engage in her own suit. government stopped there search due to a loss of one of our family members that disappeared after our GGGGG grandfather (Chief GRUB ) as told to me from my grandma DD( Delphine ) WE ARE CONNECTED TO THE CHEROKEE INDIANS NEAR THE CREEKS CONFLICT OF 1812.maybe one of the blood river tribes . not confirmed ...AND AFTER … The story was told to me that the tribe was captured ,enslaved and forced off there land by the Government , he did not have any kids at that time but from NE Alabama or N. C. I believe they marched them to Choctaw, Ok were he met a Choctaw woman and we guess had a baby that was identified but then later after he died disappeared … ///// UNKNOWN ,,,, WHY THE GOVERMENT STOPPED THE SEARCH FOR OUR TREE ROOOTS CONNECTED TO OUR ANCESTRY.
