As a mother of nine children, record keeping has been definitely an important part of my life. Now with nineteen grandchildren, the family additions and updates continue.

My first experience with genealogy was going to the St. Louis County Courthouse with my dad to look through the records. Later, we went tromping through the graveyards in Hixton and Black River Falls, Wisconsin. We've spent time together at the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. He and I continue to share many good conversations about our ancestors, their lives, and how to find them.

I'm definitely a family history nerd - I've been known to attend family funerals with family group sheets in hand and I talk to the people I am researching. I look forward to meeting these wonderful people one day and sharing the stories of our lifetimes.

My ancestors come from Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Ireland. Some of the names I research are: Krane, Anderson, Olsen, Nordstrom, Morterud, Knutson, Soberg, Maghan, Crowe, Schlender, Tracy, and Brinkmann.
