Bio

My name is Margaret Schrimsher Staples (06-09-1948) and I have been married to Dwin Staples for 51 years. We have two grown sons, who are married and who have two living children, each. They live close to us in Glen Rose, TX. My husband and I were educators, but 40 years ago he started Staples Custom Homes and our sons have now taken over the business. On my mother, Alta Louise Wyly's side, I am a descendant of General James R. Wyly, who was related to Governor Sevier and General Cleveland, who fought in the Revolution. Oliver Cromwell Wyly 1808-1893, was a Captain in the Civil War of 1860-1865 and was from Habersham Co. GA. He was married 3 times and had A total of 24 children. His 7th child by Lucy Eddins was Robert Augustus Wyly, who married Angelina Attalissa. They had 6 boys and one daughter, Atti. Their third son was my Grandfather O.C. Wyly, who was 9 years old when his mother died, His father quickly married a much younger woman, Frioni Farmsworth, and the family strongly believed that she killed Atti by poisoning her. The children did not like her at all and because of the rumors, Robert and Frioni moved to Oklahoma. Many years later, the death of the couple happened on the same day by poisoning.
My Grandmother was Clara Elizabeth Hamilton daughter of Greene Hamilton and Johanna Ebbinghouse. Johanna came from Olinhouser, Germany and Greene was an orphan from Ireland, who came with his two brothers, who were from Scotland. Johanna and Greene met aboard the ship.
My Father was Gerald Kenneth (Jerry) Schrimsher, son of Nina Day Darnell and Alfred Alexander Schrimsher. A.A.'s parents were Tom and Lottie Jane Schrimsher and Nina's parents were the Darnell's. I will add more about them later.
