I have always loved walking through cemeteries. I read the headstones, think about the people and what their life might have been like for them.

Then one day, I found in my Mom's old pictures a photograph of my Great Grandmother standing by her husbands headstone, my Great Grandfather. Something in me clicked. Soon after, I started taking photographs of the really old headstones, the more unusual ones and all the beautiful epitaphs I would see. The kind that you don't find much anymore.
The headstones that have "Aged x years, x months and x days"....those are my favorites. They hit me as if to say, every single day of that person's life mattered! As it should.

My brother, who also takes photos for Find A Grave, introduced me to this site. I am completely addicted! I love helping people see a headstone they might not ever see without this site. I love adding the memorials because someday that stone may disappear but the information is recorded for someone doing genealogy to find and use.

If I have a memorial you would like transferred because it is your family member, PLEASE ASK! I would be happy to transfer it to you. YOU are the reason I help on this site. The reason I am doing this. Just ask! As long as it isn't my family member, I will happily transfer it asap.
