I live in a small, rural community and have always been involved in community service. I became involved with the Rutledge Cemetery Association. There have been very few records kept, and the final resting place of many is only known by their death certificates. Even though we have thoroughly photographed and mapped the cemetery, we still have more names than monuments.

As someone who has been trying unsuccessfully thus far to find some of my father's family, I realized that the history of this cemetery will be important to those that may be in my position. With that thought in mind, I have sought to put together a database with as much information as I can locate for everyone; far more than is available on FAG; at the same time, correcting and updating the FAG site.

Please feel free to take over management of any or your relatives at Rutledge/Poteet Cemetery that I presently manage.
