James's oldest son William Sherman Palmer (my great grandfather) was born on December 17, 1877 to Elmira Minerva Kirtley, age 21, and James Sylvanus Palmer, age 24.
William's third son Omer Sylvanus Palmer (my grandfather) was born on January 5, 1914, in Osgood, Indiana, his father, William, was 36 and his mother, Anna, was 31.
Omer Sylvanus and Violet Lucille Talbot had one daughter, Betty Joan Palmer (my mother)
