Bio

It was quite by accident that I decided to sign up as a photo volunteer. I was looking on Ancestry.com tonite and doing some research on my mother's side of the Family after taking a 7 year break. As anyone that loves it knows, researching is addictive so I had to "put it down" for a bit and do other things like work. :)

Tonite I have found the name of my great great grandfather and because of a Find a Grave member's generosity, I have a pic of his headstone! It is priceless. I want to do that for someone else so the plan is to upload all the pics I have from the Hogue (Hoag) Cemetery in Hartville, MO, some from the Thompkins Cemetery and hopefully get some from the Denton Cemetery as well.

Thanks to Bill for uploading 44 for the Hoag Cemetery already! There are a couple of stones at the Oliver Cemetery that I will have to find. These are the 4 black cemeteries identified in Wright County. There are also blacks buried in the Steele Cemetery in Hartville. That was not always legal however.
