I'm a native Californian, born and raised in Los Angeles. My interest in genealogy began many years ago during my working years in aerospace (during the glory days of space exploration). I joined the genealogy club at work, where we would meet once a month during our lunch hour. In those days, none of the genealogy data was automated. Once retired, I picked up where I left off and seriously began searching my family history. Thanks to sites, such as Ancestry, Family Search, Find-A-Grave, and many others, I have made tremendous strides in putting the puzzle pieces of my heritage together. It has been fun--yet agonizing, at times--but the work goes on. It's a labor of love. There is nothing more important to me than my big, beautiful family.
