Bio

I am a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, advocate for elders, and I help professional (in healthcare and other industries) to increase performance and reach their goals. I am hired by Retirement communities, assisted living, independent living, nursing homes, and national associations hire me to train dementia care skills as well as leadership, conflict resolution, team building, and stress management, as well as dementia care skills. I also do public dementia care seminars - and health workers who take this can become Certified Dementia Practitioners. I teach people to build positive relationships through better communications, achieve goals, and to have fun while living and working - so they have energy at the end of the day.

In college I did genealogy for my father's family. My mother's family was more complex. I physically went to Washington DC to the National Archives, as well as various state archive locations. I wish I knew then what I know now... (sigh) There would have been many more questions I would have asked family members before they passed away... So now, I'm playing catch-up with getting info. Fortunately, it's much easier to access information without leaving home, even though there are some places without digital records still. I am currently searching for biological family and their descendants from my grandfather's family. He was adopted at around age 5 - and there is very little information about his biological parents. It's starting (Dec 2016) to finally come together and make some sense... but there are still a few pieces of the puzzle that are somewhere else. So...

If you know anything about:
Thomas H. Dillon - from Ireland (and his ancestors) == and his wife Lucy/Lizzie/Lucie Albers (married in Baltimore Maryland 1992) and they had a son - Albert Thomas Dillon (born Oct. 10, 1895 in Baltimore) -- He had a sister (not sure of date of birth). Sometime between 1900 and 1904 Albert Thomas Dillon was adopted to Albert H. and Magdelena (Lena) Bates of Baltimore - They changed his name to Albert Dillion Bates (misspelling his middle name) -- moved to Philadelphia, PA between 1903 and 1910 (AFTER they adopted my grandfather.) I'm just getting ready to take a DNA test - so I will be interested to know what turns up from that !
