I have always had a fascination with cemeteries and the stories of those buried there. As a member of the VFW Auxiliary, I mapped out gravesites for our flag placing on Memorial Day, as I had found many were being overlooked due to the difficulty in locating them (it took me the better part of a year to complete this project). I began thinking of my family roots when I passed down a rosary of my great-grandmother to my great niece, realizing at that point that I did not know my own family history! I joined Ancestry and Find A Grave in order to assist myself and others with genealogical interests. I have found it very gratifying to fulfill wishes of those seeking information, and discovering my own heritage as well.
